The Spanish Society of Criminological Research (SEIC) was founded in 2000 with the aim to promote the criminological research, in both academic and institutional dimensions.

We aspire to engage a group of researchers and experts in Criminology, regardless of their position in the spectrum of the discipline.

Our interest is purely scientific, our ambition is to serve as a communicative bridge among scientists, and thus promote the transfer of research results into points of encounter, dissemination and discussion at both national and international dimensions.

None of these purposes can be possible without the promotion of a criminological concept of scientific community at the service of peace and social progress, to drive criminology as an instrument of solidarity and democratic exercise of Human Rights in their fullness.
